I personally like the w7's. Easier to achieve a flat response (box Q of .707) in a more reasonably sized sealed enclosure for the w7. The L7 does have about 100cm^2 more cone area but that doesn't translate into more SPL due to the fact that it has quite a bit less linear excursion than the w7. Also the w7's have seemed to be a tad more reliable for us in the past. Although I haven't messed with the new 06 L7's as of yet.

I really prefer the W7 because I find that it has greater sound quality.
