It is not the sub diameter that will make a sub sound good reproducing rap/rock, etc. It is the box.

Indeed. My old box .8 cubes sealed ------> not for teh rap

My new box 2.5 cubes each tuned to 28 hz -----> pwnz the old box for deep bass

Ok, I know you can fit a ported box for 2 10" JL w3's in a camaro. A guy I know just put one in 99 SS Camaro. And it sounds **** good. I don't have a clue on tuning, size, etc. But I know he put one in there...cause I have seen it.

I'm really liking that Atlas, also still loving the type-r's.

Anyways, I guess I'll have to start my system off with the box, and go from there. I only have a little bit of room to work with. The camaro hatchback area is 26x10. That's not alot of room, for a ported box. I just emailed acsendant audio asking for their recommendation for a ported box for the Atlas 12" If everything goes through, then I'm set on the Atlas and it's time to find someone to build me a ported box //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif

If not, then I'll probably just stick with a Alpine type-r 10" or 12" in a ported box.
