What do I need?

I've got a 2005 Dodge Ram and I'm looking to use either a 10" or 12" Memphis sub under the center section of the front seat and I need to know if I can use a regular depth sub or if I need to purchase the shallow mount sub. I utilize the storage under the backseat so the front seat option works the best.

I haven't purchased the sub yet but I'm running mostly Memphis components and I'd like to use a Memphis sub so please share your recommendations as well.

I'm not in a postion to take measurements but one of the box building websites quotes the mounting depth at 7" and the airspace @ .95 cu. ft.

you need to forget about the sub brand and find one that works the best with the space that you have. Also does the sub you get work better in a sealed or ported box. I do know that ED has a sub or two that works well in 1 cube ported with a 5 inch mounting depth. Image Dynamics has some subs that work in very small sealed spaces and you could fit two tens or even two 8's. ED also works well in a small sealed box. You can find a box that is premade for you truck and go from there.
