What components would you buy for $1000 or less. Zapco,Focal, or what?

ive heard tehm and they sound awsome and the mid bass is very solid....

they dont get super loud but there was only one set in a car that does 148 so it held its own.........another set adn the guy will be very very hard to beat in a doors open type of event...

if i had 1000 to spend on two tweets and two mids OEM active style, id buy these

if i had to buy components, id prolly go with the new ID comps. but i would go OEM so thats irrelevant. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

but sql is something that i dont care for. so my statement is regarding sound quality. if i had 1k for an amp, and a set of comps. well... id do some serious shopping to maximize my equipment.

could do the germaniums...but for 1000$ i'd do one set of power line CS's. They are pretty mean...the midwoofers use the same motor/basket as the vanadium 7" subwoofer...crossed for SQL would be 80hz, or for SQ at low volume they'll play crossed down at 50 or 63 hz in a well deadened door.

Here's 2 pics of the power line CS's next to the germaniums. LOL.

The germs are nice...but they're half that budget //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif the power line cs are a totally different beast.

Here is the power line cs next to the vanadium 12" sub

look pretty similar huh?

I like to hit it RAW.
Thank you sir, may I have another?

Those Rainbow MB's look nice, but I bet they curl up in a little ball in zee corner and **** their thumb when it's go time. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

If you gave me $1k to spend on components I'd go straight to Craigslist to find the best home monitors I could and take the good stuff out of them.

That's okay, though, because you know it's all about the looks.

I came across those too. Seen all the drivers out on the alibaba sight for sure. Wonder who is making them for PPI? Looked long and hard at those...
