What class to compete in?

You don't need 12 grand to be competitive on a national level.
Street A.

2 strong amps used or competitors cost = 2000 for both

1 NSB90 = 230 shipped to your door

2 10's used or competitor cost = 400 - 1200 for both

1/0 gauge wire = 100-500

wood = (however much dedication you want to put into it)
I'm curious what will be par for street C next year. I'm thinking about an explorer, I've already got two 9510's I'm thinking about reconing to 15's and I have two 40.1's. I hate to think that for a street class thats not enough amp //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

My next purchases are power wire, a deck, and a TL. Come bonus and tax time I will finally pick a vehicle, pick a class, and then get batteries and reconfig my subs accordingly. Thank god for the home depot card when it comes time for mdf.

Everything, vehicle included, gets pricey for somebody starting out. I can handle it but I'm still a newb so that competing national thing still isn't going to happen....maybe someday //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

More like this on the national level...

-Beat up CRX that runs 'good enough': $500

-Seriously used or home made Trailor: $300

-5-6kw at compeditor pricing: $1500-2000

-2 Serious SPL10's compeditor pricing: $500-1000

-1 Serious Deep Cycle: $150-$300

-A lot of 1/0 welding wire: $150

-CD Player: $100-$300

-TermLab: $600

-Materials to rebuild once, twice, three times...: $300

-Fule for tow vehicle: $500

-Hotel Costs to make big competitions: $500

-Beer/Moutian Dew Money: $500

-Registration Money: $500

Total: $6100-$7400

not everyone out of the blue gets "competitor pricing" especially if they are just starting out
Very true, the subwoofers can still be had in that range, amps on the otherhand... You can still get 4kw for $2000 though. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/yumyum.gif.0556df42231b304b9c995aefd13928a8.gif

I did a leader board search on termpro based on world finals in only street B and thats what came up...
I was refering to BMXbike's claim. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Those are the right scores. My teammate did a 154ish in Street B with one 15 and didn't even make brackets, but nonetheless he was there, learned alot, and will do much better next season.

You can get competitor pricing from ALOT of companies. Or you used get USED amps at the same cost. You just have to know how to push some buttons.
yeah, prally get alot of good compditorp prising.

That one was just incase Jim swoops in. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

Just build it to pwn the local comps and maybe try in a few years after having some experience...
