What battery ?

looking to upgrade my underhood batt. Ill be doing the big 3 and upgrading the battery to run around a 1000wrms system so id like to get a nice battery. What do you suggest? i can fit almost anything under the hood as i have quite a bit of room for batt.

The batt is for a 1993 camry v6.

I'd go with the Kinetik HC2400. You'll have room should you decide to upgrade and the HC2400 is relatively affordable...

very true. i have got some at the deka factory like 20 minutes from my house. but i got one online for like 220 shipped which isnt too bad

A kinetik hc1800 should work good depending on your amplifiers.

Go to sonicelectronix.

They're prices include free ground shipping. And are much cheaper than any local store i've seen.

Ex. Local shops around here sell the 600 for 180 and up. And at sonic you can get the 600 for 99.

The price differentials are similar for the larger batts as well.

No problem. They also carry the Shuriken batt's. Which, to my knowledge are Kinetics wrapped in thinner plastic and a different sticker. If budget is a big issue.

I've got one on the way to see how it does. Hopefully they won't disappoint.

Shurikens are not kinetiks at all.

From what i've read, the Metra Shurikens and the Kinetics are made under the same umbrella. And obviously the internet is always right haha.

Under the same umbrella? Metra and kinetik are not the same company and I used to work at kinetik building mod banks and I am good friends with the guy who runs kinetik (have been since prior to there even being a kinetik). An empty battery case weighs about a lb on a BIG battery so the 10 to 4 lb differences in their batteries would tend to make me believe there are some major differences (the battery you have claimed to have a "lighter case" also happens to be the heavier battery). Alot of companies also copy kinetik as far as specs and marketing. Different cases, different sized terminals and different weight means they are the same? That would be like saying a mustang and a focus were the samething or maybe even a mustang and a kia rio.
