what battery should i use?

if you already have 0 ga use itthen you hook up the amp to the rear battery.....

yea just one length that goes from the positive terminal of the battery to the amp. wouldn't i need two lengths to wire the battery?

no...run 1 wire from pos of front to pos of back battery. ground the back battery. run power and ground from back batt to amp.

No, use your original length to the battery. Then use a small length from the HC800 to your amplifier.

1 for the ground..people will argue both ways on that about anytime i have installed anything over 500 watts i always grounded it back to the battery up front...including amplifiers

i ground my back batteries to the frame..

i ground to the car. regardless of term you know what i meant. i dont ground to the front battery. i think we've argued over this point quite a bit. or maybe it wasnt you..think it was tho. im not saying its bad to ground to the front but in my particular case it helped to ground in the back.

alot do argue but reguardless the way you go you wont get a bad ground going back up front....that is where the vehicles main ground point is and the resistance in that ground wire isnt going to be as bad as some of the semi to non conductive materials found in the rear of alot of unibodies
