What battery for an XB

I have done the big three and would now like to upgrade my battery but I am not sure which one to use. I do know I only have 250 to 300 to spend one but am having difficulty finding info on all the different brands and their respective pros and cons... any help would be great.

well first, you hafta sell that stupid car, the buy a real car. then get an optima yellow top bat, ~$180.

First, I will keep by stupid BOX as it is the only vehicle that gets 30+ MPG and enables me to get both my kids in and out of it easily... Second, thanx for the input, so is the yellow top better than the red top when used as the only battery in the car or would a red top be better suited for that?

yellow tops are a deep cycle battery. Not recommended for starting applications.

red tops are starting batteries. Use a YT as a second battery and the RT as the starting.

So as I will only be using one battery in the car it should be a red top right..? After reading on their website that is what they suggest, I just wanted to see what people were doing with their products sort of like most subs here are run with much higher RMS than the manufacture recomends
