What are your thoughts on small subs.....

I had an rf t2 12 in a ported box, took up alot of space, now I have 2 skar ma-8's, i like the output that takes up less space. And i like when they say "that's 2 eight inch subs?"

You heard my little setup not to long ago. LOL, how did you like it?

I will soon see if I am a fan of small subs… In my old suv I ran a dd9015 on 1600w and it pounded. Now that I have bought a new crew cab truck I had Brian at star mountain build me a enclosure for 4 sa 8v2's forward firing with side ports under the seat and I am going to be giving them 900-1k each off this amp.

i like big subs myself, thats the reason im running some of the biggest 8's on the market, i also love it when i shutdown someone with more cone area, and yes my enclosure is very much on point, its a little crazy though, 1.5ft net with 60" of port tuned to 37, but with the loading effect in my tib it brings the effective tuning down to around 28... its fun to pop out a 140 at the headrest at 28hz, and all my numbers with the 8's were done with a 40 amp fuse on my saz...

you should be pretty happy with it, you have more cone area than a single 15 and well more power.

I'm running 4 vfl8s under my rear seat about 2.7 cubic side ports at 34 hrtz on a vfl 4480 @ .5 ohms daily nice little sq system but it wil pound when I need it to. And still have my back seat in my z71

Loved it, one of the deciding factors on my dropping down to eights, but mine cannot compare to yours...lol.

I run 1 SA-10 in my Dodge Nitro and I get lots of people asking if I'm running a 12 or 15. Then I open the hatch for them. Priceless!

I've always liked 10's. Never heard any 8's other then seeing them abuse cars on youtube. I've owned and installed some 12's into friends rides as well.

I really enjoy getting everything and more out of a 10" sub and that it doesn't take up all of my cargo space in my Nitro. Well worth every penny!!

I gotta get rid of some of my 8's... I will have everything from the biggest 8 made (50+lbs) to underhung SQ 8's when my SD-2s get here Friday...
