What are your thoughts on small subs.....

How many systems have you heard that sounded like it had 12's, 15's, or even 18's when it actually had a couple of 8's or 10's that made you go WOW! That's slammin hard for such small subs.

i run a pair of SA-8 V.2's on a saz 1500, does a 142@30 at the headrest, most people who have listened to it guess im running a pair of 12's or up, ive even went as far a few shows to put a 20 on the dash and tell them if they guess what ive got in the back they can have it, ive yet to loose my money.

yea, its a lot of fun, and puts the person getting the demo in the hot seat, you just have to be careful if people have seen them earlier in the day.

my next daily setup will be 2 z v.4 10s on my mmats 4k. if i dont decide to go with more power.

Lol 8's are for tools it's all about the 18's and yes I'm running 8x your power and nothing's small it just the love for the bass.......op don't get 8's go with a setup that is optimum for your cargo area not to big not to small what type of vechalie do you have

did you read anything in this thread? the op is running 8's now, has been for a while and is rather happy with them IIRC...

and its all preference, i love big setups, but i switch things too much to build like that.

Likes and dislikes are accepted in this thread. I like big subs myself but, flipping people out with 8's and 10's is hilarious. Now my next setup will be 4 10 z4's on either a ns1 or 2 3500's strapped. Different vehicle of course.

It seems like if you want small subs to be hittin', you better have a perfect enclosure.......

Personally, I believe that the biggest, fewest subs are the way to go.
