What are these connectors called?

Ok, I finally got a chance to take the Sony radio out. The situation back there is *far* scarier than what I have in the Rav4.

Doesnt look like the OEM wire that goes to the back of the radio has been disturbed looking at all that neat tape. You just need a connector that connects to the factory connector and splice the wires off of that onto the wiring harness of the new radio. Looks like you have the antenna and mic plugged in. I don’t know what the remote wire is connected to. The yellow wire to like a back up camera or dash cam

Shoot, you are good to go! Remove that cloth tape, find the splices, undo them and splice your new radio's harness onto it.

They did a great job.

Looks to me like the adapters I referred to are already there. Just cut off the Sony connecter and replace with the new HU's connector. Easy Peasy.

Scary is when you find a sh!tload of electrical tape and loosely twisted together wires

I have the color codes for the Sony (from the manual). Hopefully they match up correctly with what's actually there.

You can go to the Metra Electronics website and look up which adapter you have and find the wiring code.

Well, actually that was stupid of me. I can just check and see that the correct colors are going to the correct pins (again, in the manual).

Since you have the adapters in there, your project will cost next to nothing. Good Luck.

Thanks so much! Now I'm able to search for them and I think I found a simple solution for the installation.
