Ok, I finally got a chance to take the Sony radio out. The situation back there is *far* scarier than what I have in the Rav4.
Shoot, you are good to go! Remove that cloth tape, find the splices, undo them and splice your new radio's harness onto it.far* scarier than what I have in the Rav4.

I have the color codes for the Sony (from the manual). Hopefully they match up correctly with what's actually there.Looks to me like the adapters I referred to are already there. Just cut off the Sony connecter and replace with the new HU's connector. Easy Peasy.
You can go to the Metra Electronics website and look up which adapter you have and find the wiring code.I have the color codes for the Sony (from the manual). Hopefully they match up correctly with what's actually there.
Well, actually that was stupid of me. I can just check and see that the correct colors are going to the correct pins (again, in the manual). You can go to the Metra Electronics website and look up which adapter you have and find the wiring code.
Since you have the adapters in there, your project will cost next to nothing. Good Luck.Well, actually that was stupid of me. I can just check and see that the correct colors are going to the correct pins (again, in the manual).
Thanks so much! Now I'm able to search for them and I think I found a simple solution for the installation. Those are ISO connectors.
