what amps are 3ohm stable????

maybe I'm stating the obvious here, but anything stable at 1 or 2 ohms will be stable at 3, it just won't put out quite as much power. Something that's about 1500 @ 2 ohms should give you approx. 1000 at 3. RF bd1500.1 off the top of my head. Probably the big mtx too. Jbl 1200 would be in the ballpark as well.

I just saw 2 13W7 in a Trailblazer.... GOD it pounded great and awsome SQL... each one had a Mmats amp 1400.1

The subs are 1.5ohm per coil and are DVC, so he had each one on a .75ohm load to each Mmats amp...(the amps where extremely cool to the touch)

It also had a Huge Brax amp powering 2 sets of Dynaudio 3 way comps...

The car aslo had all kind of extras on it, rims, wheels, everything... a total of $20,000 on a 1 month old car...

All I can say is WOW, incredible sound quality, no distortion at the highest volumen...

If you had a 3 ohm sub and you wired it to a 2 ohm stable amp, would you just wire it to the amp in 2 ohm mode or bridged into 4 ohms? I'm confused
