What amp to power these subs.....KICKER COMP VR

Those are 400W RMS each. I assume they're 4 ohm, correct? If that's the case, you can use an amp that pushes 400W RMS at 2 ohm, since those have dual voice coils. There are many brands. There is not a special one that'd be the best. As long as you don't go for a crappy brand, you're set. Some people here will tell you one brand, and others will argue about such brand, and recommend something else. To avoid that, I'm not recommending any brand.

im either going to get a kicker or alpine or pioneer amp
They're 2 ohms so you need something 1 ohm stable. Forget about Pioneer or Alpine. You can get better amps for less money. Nothing wrong about them, but you can get more bang for your buck with other amps. I had two '09 4 ohm CompVRs getting 300W RMS @ 2 ohms from my Crystal CAM 300.2 and they sounded very nice. A lot of people here hate those speakers, but they're not bad. They do the job well. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/suave.gif.858fc102f7646e678ee8af7e1fbc41d1.gif
