What amp should I get???

Hey guys I am new to this forum as you all can see. I have a simple inquiry to make in regards to my car audio setup. I currently own two 12 inch JBL subwoofers, and was wondering what would be the most compatible amp for this? I am not trying to go cheap, also I want to consider using this amp in the future. Any ideas? Should i get some thats 2000 watts? or even more? I have 1994 sentra that I want to put this in. If it helps its a in-line 4 cylinder. I was told to get a capacitor to maintain my battery and alternator life. I guess recommended brand names would be good help as well as the recommended wattage to keep it powered sufficiently.

Any feedback is much appreciated.

give us the exact specs of your subs or your sub model than we will be able to assist u further.

Don't waste your money on a capacitor.

If you are going to get an amp over ~ 800 Watts RMS, you will need to upgrade your alternator/battery wiring (search for "big 3"), and run big wire to your amp. And with your little car, you may need a high output alternator too. If you buy a big amp but don't do these things, your amplifier won't put out it's rated wattage and you'll waste a bunch of power heating up your little wires.

I love when ppl say the brand of the sub and the size, as if there isnt 5 different subs models + from each manufacturer.

Okay guys i got more info on the 12 inch JBL's There are 1000 watts each, GT series High performance subwoofer. I can live with getting a weaker amp, i just don't want to have to upgrade my amp or alternator? What's the minimum amp i should get in wattage?

This guy is selling them on craigs list. Would one amp be sufficient sort of like what hes doing? I just dont want anything to break in my car...

I wouldn't put over 1kwrms on those subs.

do you know the impedance your subs? What type of enclosure?
