Meaning?Could be sub/port placement. I have seen that make a big difference a few times.
okay, we can rule that out then. The box seems about right, if your not having any audible issues other then loudness.Nope exact same actualy

one thing to note is that the comps do have higher sensitivity then the DD, two of them will have even more.
what is your gain set to? do your fronts get too loud before the sub reaches a good volume? how did you go about setting it?
Sub forward port fires towards the roofSubs forward port forward I assume? Tried any different locations? I had a 2510 in a 1.8cf tuned to 37.5hz running on my 2200d@ 2.5ohm and it got decently loud. I to was kinda upset with its overall performance but this was my fault as my expectations were unrealistic. Nonetheless your going from 24" to 12" no matter the power usually cone area is always king.
I didnt think it would change that much... In my buddies (same kinda truck) we have turned his towards the roof and it sounded just fineI have seen situations with sub and port firing in a certain direction produce less spl and sq. Has to do with how it loads off your car.
maybe a gain issue, are you also running an amp on your front speakers? where does your volume control end up when the speakers are too loud? if you post what you have your amps settings at that will help a lot.what is your gain set to? do your fronts get too loud before the sub reaches a good volume? how did you go about setting it?Yes!
Not currently but will be soon when my components get here... Im not realy sure what they are at now since I have messed with them so much I think I just left them mostly all at about half sense it hadnt changed anything... and the volume is usualy at about 18/19 on my deck so that its comfortable but Ive turned it up to like 22 and the sub was louder but still not very loud... however at that volume my speakers where much to bright and loudmaybe a gain issue, are you also running an amp on your front speakers? where does your volume control end up when the speakers are too loud? if you post what you have your amps settings at that will help a lot too.
