WHat about this amp for 3-4 MTs

Then that makes it much easier , why are theyso cheap if they handel so much power? I mean isnt the W7 around that price range to? I know that the W7 is sq and mt is mostly SPL but still.

That makes it so much easier, i was thinking the price tag for all of it would be huge but has gone down a lot. so for 8 orions that would be 4 and for 4 mts that would be 2, I know its bad but not as bad as I first thought. SO if you gave them each 3500 watts approxiamtly, thats what they can produce at 2 ohms, 1700 each correct? And in a ported wall basically waht numbers are reasonable?

with that setup you woud probly go with dual .7's that would be about 6grand per sub (assuming for comp only)... with that said 8 orions and 4 mts... 155 in the proper car/enclosure

I was thinking of 150-160, is the orions stable at .7, thats my one weakness is amps, I understand most of it but some I still get confused. Everything I learnee I learned from here so I am willing to bet I will be a master of amps in no time. How would you wire the orions for .7? It will be mostly for comps but I would also like to have it for a weekend car everyonce in a while. Also, how big of an electrical system , I know dual 300 amp alternators but that woont be close to enought to feed 8 orions, would I need like 6 batteries lol?

well its more of trile and error i don't know every thing.. re will make you basically any coil config you want the most power out of your amps before clipping... almost all amps put out more power at a lower ohm load so the lower you go and still be stable the better...id say that orions are not .7 stable daily but for comp theyll go lower ive heard

2500D's can handle .5 daily...

And you seem to have very little knowledge of car audio, so why the hell are you going to do such a massive install? And is this for competitions?

I say start out with something smaller, no one needs 4 MT's anyway. Even a single 12" MT would suffice for most people....

From the posts in this thread, i think it is safe to say that you should NOT get 4 MT's.

In the right hands, that kind of power and those subs could produce fantastic results. In the hands of somebody who has alot to learn, it could be a big waste of time and money.

I say set the bar a little lower. You'd be amazed how loud a pair of SX 15's and a 2500d can be in the proper enclosure.

for one thing, I know some guys who work at a car audio shop here that would help me with the install, hey man dont hate because I would like to learn. I admit I dont know a whole hell of a lot about car audio but who said I was going todo it tomorrow? This wont happen for a couple of months at least.

I am here to learn everything I can before I start, everyone has to start somewhere. I do research on my own as well so I am not gonna be going into it blind. Give me a couple of Months and with my drive I can master anything and everything.

I'm just saying though, 4 MT's is ALOT for even an experienced person to have.

If anything, i would say that you would be more than impressed with 2 MT's and 4kw on each. That should get NASTY loud, 4 MT's is just a waste of money IMO, especially for a daily driver.

it's your money man go for it! with a lil help you should be fine but it's alot more work then just big power amps and bigg subs, you also have box, tuning of the box, wiring, alt and batterys, and a hell of alot of work
