What a...

Oh I agree that more people should pay in, and less people should rely on the govt to support them. That's the heart of my conservative stance economically. We have multiple generations of welfare families these days, parents literally training their kids to 'play the system' so they dont have to work (or work much). I bet we all know at least one person like this. Its pathetic.
That is 100% true... I have family that works in state government and they see it all the time. Multiple generation families with 8+ kids per generation and none has ever worked in their lives.

Oh I agree that more people should pay in, and less people should rely on the govt to support them. That's the heart of my conservative stance economically.
That is fine if you want that ideal. Ideally, people wouldn't need to rely on the government and people wouldn't be so greedy that they extort everyone else to get their own money. However in the world we live in, consumers and workers need to be protected. They need to rely on government for a middle class to exist. So the question is, do your principles make for a better economy? The answer is no. Disagree with welfare on principle? That's fine. But the fact that it benefits the economy as a whole is concrete.

But like Ive said all along, if we were talking about a business, family, or individual... when money is tight, the most logical first step is to streamline your spending habits, which DC seems terrified to tackle in any meaningful way.
If you want to use the family analogy, fine. But use a complete one. If we are talking about an individual, it's a person that just asked his employer to be paid less. If it's a business, it's a business that just cut it's prices. So the real logical step is asking his employer for a raise in the case of the individual or increasing prices back to when there wasn't a major problem in the case of the business.

Republicans want 'death panels' to let your grandmother die, democrats want to pass out money in the ghettos, both sides argue false extremes to demonize their opponents. False extremes that lead to polarization of the population, instead of realistic discussions that move us forward and make real progress. Again, its pathetic.
What's funny is, both of those lies you told were created by Republicans, Fox News, and the right in general.

Those people 'taking', aren't 'giving' their fair share, and that seems to be acceptable these days for some reason.
The bottom 50% don't pay a net income tax because compared to the top 50%, they don't have income. The bottom 80% of people own 7% of the wealth in this country. I shudder to think what the bottom 50% own. But it's them who you want to tax more? And you think that will make our economy better?

There's a lot of talk lately about half of Americans not paying taxes. This idea comes straight from D.C., where they want us to rally around the notion that the US govt doesn't get enough revenue. What they fail to mention is, they are only talking about income taxes. We also have sales tax, gas tax, tobacco tax, etc etc etc. But our politicians want to paint a false picture so we can all think we need to throw money down the rat hole which is the federal govt.
Actually it comes from Fox News and the conservative propaganda machine. A certain segment of those in DC then picked up on it. They then want to paint a false picture so people vote Republican and can use the class warfare card.

Id be a lot more sensitive to the 'revenue problem' in DC if they weren't so wasteful with the revenue they already have.
How much of our debt is waste?

We have a SPENDING problem, not a revenue problem. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif
The facts disagree with you.

It's pretty obvious it's a revenue problem. If one month you're making $1,500 and spending $1,400 and the next month you're making $1,300 and spending $1,450, you have a revenue problem. But that's math. Do you understand math?

There's nothing quite like ******* more money out of the few remaining producers to really kickstart a failed economy. Way to go Washington!
More of the same, pay people not to work and put punishing taxes on those who do and wonder why there's high unemployment.
Yeah! Nevermind the fact that businesses/the rich are seeing record profits and income gains, ******* more money (but still significantly less money since 40 years ago) is going to make the economy worse! Also ignoring the relatively low unemployment rate in the 50s, 60s and seventies when the top taxes rates were at or over 70%! Also ignoring the fact that taxes on the "producers" are the lowest they've been in 80 years yet our economy is so ******! Also ignoring the fact the employment is a factor of how much consumers spend not how much money rich people have sitting around! Boy, ignoring reality is fun! I like being a conservative!

Raise sales tax. REmove state and federal tax.

everyone pays equally. no one can whine they don't pay or what not.. Another thing would be to cut all government workers pay by 50%, remove free healthcare from all government workers.. make them pay for it themselves. easy saves about 500billion to 1trillion in 2-4 years... if not more.. but god forbid you talk about cutting government workers pays.

How many people here actually gets money back on taxes at the end of the year? How many pays money back?

I'll owe more back this year than most min. wage people make all year... I don't find that fair.. even with the few tax breaks I get... But yet the family nextdoor with 4 kids and making 90k will get back 15k and not pay in more than 5k in taxes.

explain to me how this is fair?

OH... an as far as employment stuff goes... There is a lot of people out there trying to start new jobs and companies. Also a lot of National Tenant companies are trying to

grow but its hard right now. Banks are making job creation almost impossible. I am in Commercial Real Estate Development we do development for multiple national tenants / fortune 500 companies.. Most of the City's and States are also making it tougher to build in most area's which is having a huge impact on Employment.

The banks being tight on loaning money out is the most hard pressed issue with getting more jobs created.

but god forbid you talk about cutting government workers pays.
Yeah, god forbid. Those horrible, government workers making their barely above poverty incomes. Fuckers. Ruining our country with their "healthcare" and their "benefits". Who are benefits good for? NO ONE! What we really need to do is give more money to the richest 400 people in this country who own more wealth than the bottom 50%. Because the equivalent of what half this country makes just isn't enough for those richest 400 people. They need MORE money to REALLY get our economy on track.

We should just fire every god damned government employee there is. Making all those millions of fuckers unemployed will really make our unemployment go down, make people spend more money and then our economy will be great.

And yeah, sales tax. Because we'll need at least a 50% sales tax to support everything the federal government does to help it's citizens and then will be be spending a lot less which will make businesses hire more because everyone knows that the less people spend the more businesses hire. I MEAN COME ON OBAMA, ARE YOU FUCKING STUPID?

What god REALLY needs to forbid is raising taxes a single percent on the rich. Because we all know if people making a million dollars a year have to pay and extra 5% on their income over $250,000, they may as well be eating from a god damned dumpster living in Somalia, where they'll move to because it's so much better because they have a smaller government and will be taxed less.

The banks being tight on loaning money out is the most hard pressed issue with getting more jobs created.
Yeah, or the fact that the middle class is disintegrating and wages have stagnated over the past 30 years so people aren't spending as much and businesses are laying people off because they people aren't spending enough money to require those employees. You know, basing this on the fact that businesses hire people to serve customers (ie, not to do a civic duty) and less customers = less employees needed = less employees. But I'm just basing this stuff on facts and reality. As a(n apparent) conservative, feel free to do otherwise.

In honesty yes everyone that is in the Government now should be fired.. They messed up how things are going now... Most have been there for 20+ years and they can't get it right.. what makes you think they can get it right next year? I don't think just because you are a government worker you should be given free healthcare.

Government workers to me is anyone within the Senate / Congress / etc... not state lvl like police/teachers etc... And you know how much you actually pay in taxes if you make $1,000,000.00 in a year?

I'm not a with any parties they have in this country at all.. Its all a bunch of Lies on both sides and munpulating people from both sides... I would rather a smaller government, I don't need a baby sitter to tell me what I should do I am an adult.. That is another issue with the country 90% of the people in this country has to have the government tell them what todo and how to do it..

I'm sure Karl Marx is very proud of you. Please give us one example of your collectivist/stateist utipia in practice?

I was going to write a lengthy reply to your drivel but you are beyond hope. Keep on ******* your thumb believing that more/bigger government is going to help you. The historical evidence is pretty stacked against you.

Government workers to me is anyone within the Senate / Congress / etc... not state lvl like police/teachers etc...
Oh, okay. That makes me a lot less ragey. I still disagree with your overall viewpoint, but at least you're not batshit crazy.

The companies We develop for builds around 300 Stores a year each.. avg. 4-5 people hired new to work at each location... hmm so per company thats 1200-1500 new jobs every year they create... but yet they are holding onto their money and cutting jobs? No when they can't open new stores to draw in yes they will cut loses anyone with practical business sense would do the same are they would go bankrupt...
