The problem I'm having is it seems like my system doesn't play loud around tuning, but plays loud for the low notes and the high notes, but not in between..some info on what I"m running.

Two kicker solo x 12s

APSM 1500 (lulz)

6.2 cubes @ 34 hz

It plays 30 hz and below loud, and like 43 Hz and up loud, but in between just doesn't have much output, just not sure why there is a dead spot there.

The subs are in the back seat area with subs and port facing front of the car. It isn't completey sealed off from the trunk, which could be a cause of the issue. The amp could just be a total pos and be the reason for this, but I don't have another amp to test it with. Only other thing I can think of is it could be a signal/RCA issue.

Anybody else had this problem/seen this problem?

Are you maintaining voltage without dropping?Ill bet it may be that amp Though man.The Kicker I just took out of my Honda CRV(CVR Kickers)Didnt like much other than 32-36 htz more than that, and they sounded like Garbage, and I run them firing up/port up in my cabbed area.,I have read somewhere a few months back, that those amps get heated up, and loose sound..May have been on SSA,I think

I know it's not the subs, and im not losing voltage because I play loud above and below that spot, but not that actual spot.
Man, that sounds like that amp will not go to that Htz area..its either all balls, or min levels..i think its your amp man..just my 2 cents

You running 1ohm load?Surely..Shared chamber on the subs as well?Have you tried running/testing the amp @4ohms mono at that HTZ level yet?Just to see if it sound any better than the other ranges @4ohms?that amp may sound fine for 4/2ohm loads at that htz, and not at all @1ohm levels

Its really dissapointing...spend the money on this setup and it doesnt perform anywhere liked i hoped. My skar 10s had better output
I hear ya on the spending issues..i know for certain that Kickers Really sound/perform much better in theyre own Chamber..Shared chamber, they seem to echo /sound a bit muddy for some reason, maybe due to the air movement from the sub next to it in the same air space?I did find that they sound better in theyre own chambers though..I run all my subs that way.As for Skar subs,Ive heard the same from several people, that those subs are just BA regardless of the Drama that is going on.They are just great subs from my understanding

My nephew ran a solox 12 in a 2.4 cu ft 1in MDF box at approx 34htz, on an old school Autotek BTS 7150@2ohms, in a 06 Scion a couple yrs ago, and it Slammed @50%gain,sub up,port drivers side

It does slam just below tuning and above it but not around it, and most of my songs are in the area where it's going dead. At this point I'd rather just have my two 10s again.

All i can think of is the cabin in my car is affecting the sound for that frequency, or the sound is going into the trunk instead of the cab..

I have used a Preamp EQ to make adjustments before as well..Might be all you need??For this setup you have in there..May be worth a try.I think Clarion makes one pretty cheaply.Gives you the option to make the adjustment to get there

Thats about all I can think of without swapping the amp out, and subs

I have a 7 band clarion EQ here but I haven't put it in
Id hook it up, and see of it works for you..Preamp EQ

i run a Kicker KQ9 in my truck to make adjustments to different songs, and works nicely..Id like to get a different EQ with a better Voltage rating soon, but it does what I need at the moment:D
