I ran into this audio shop in town today, usually only carry sony, audiobahn, mtx, etc... nothing real big.

until today.

just delivered sitting in the middle of the store was a RE XXX 18".... This son of a ***** was HUGE!!!! had to weigh close to 100 lbs. and the guys were blown away when my question was: Is that a MX or XXX? (it was upside down). They were like "you know of RE"

the funny part is 2-3yrs ago when I was in there picking up some wiring stuff etc... I was talking to them and telling them about RE XXX's (the old ones) and the XXX mids I had just got. They had never heard of RE. Now they are a dealer.

Of course they now sell US Amps too.

im sure they were talking shit about RE when you left the store 2 years ago...
That has been known to happen, most definitely. A lot of shops are really bad for that up here in Canada and I know of a couple that have changed their tune on some brands recently. And yet, they continue to make the same assumptions about new companies.

Some people's children.

LOL well...obviously just because someone has a "stereo" shop doesn't mean they really know anything. I don't really know any any stores around here where you can buy high end audio equipment which is understandable. You've gotta stock what you can sell. I know the place where I use to work at had a 32" Clarion. Which the only reason for having it was word of mouth to get people to come in. When you have something crazy in stock it always brings in new people //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

i have been lucky in the fact that the only people ive talked to in stereo shops (ive only been to a stereo shop like twice, since i have no real need for them unless i need like 2 feet of 4g wire) have known about RE, when i mentioned it to them years ago. although he claimed by box was too small (8 cubes for 2 15's) but eh, he could of said "is that some flea market shit?"

the sad part about the whole thing is that the guy that it is for is only putting 1500 watts on it..... sure could use alot more to really get that big ****er movin good.
