Well, looks like I'm getting a new, free laptop

*UPDATE*

New computer is on the way. I didn't get to spec it out unfortunately, but they said if my model isn't available anymore (which I'm not sure it is) then they will send me the upgraded version with all the same (if not better) specs.

Frankly, I don't care as long as the d*mn thing works. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Here's the specs:

Inspiron 1521 (newer model than mine)

AMD Turion 64x2 dual core processor (double what I had)

2 gigs of RAM (double what I had)

150 gig HD (double what I had)

DVD burner

vista home premium

Basically, this thing smokes the laptop I orginally had. I'm a happy camper. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Wow that looks good, i havent seen the new insprions yet. I have a XPS 13in.

But my old XPS shit the bed a day after I got it. I called up and explained what happened, told them i didnt want it fixed, i wanted a new one and i needed it yesterday. They had it build and to me in 3 days, with a box for the returned one and upgraded my Warranty to the 3 year with in home service. Then the hard drive shit the bed 2 months after warranty was up, i gave a call, they looked back to see the history of it and the guy said since i had so much trouble with it in the beginning, he was going to send me a hard drive anyways...

I really did get a free laptop. Almost two years ago i bought my second XPS. A M140. I got billed for it at the outlet store. About 2 weeks later it was charged back to my account. I kept an eye on it thinking they would bill me or recharge my credit card. To this day, i have not paid for it...

Alienware > DellEven though Dell owns them //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif.

Unfortunettly no....

Iv seen more problems in Alienware including my own than any other computer. Yes there nice machines, but the price is high and so are the problems..

Well, the original laptop I bought only cost me $400 through the dell outlet. If I'm gonna get a new computer I'm not gonna buy some cheap, no options computer simply because I rarely use it.

So really, I'm only into this whole thing for $400, which isn't much money at all.
