The snow is gone! Time to start running again //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/woot.gif.aaa6090e619a97b6090d16dd863c5a69.gif

I'm just getting ready to kick out the ol' running shoes for the first time this year. I wonder how out of shape I am cardio wise.

How many runners do we have here?

What is your style? The track? Treadmill? or just outside wherever like parks, sidewalks etc...?

What shoes do you wear?

I prefer a track or running outside in parks. I can't stand treadmills. And I wear nike pegasus's(sp?)

I've been on the treadmill all winter, and yes it sux! Can't wait to get outside myself! I'm at 5 miles every other day, and it takes me 1 hour (I'm not trying to get my speed up, just my time on the treadmill). I wear New Balance's (can't remember which ones), but good luck man!

I'm planning on starting back up myself. I don't mind treadmills but I prefer a nice rubber track. Odds are I will do most of my running on pavement. I'm hoping that with starting up running again and dieting I'll be able to get back down to a decent weight and lose this stupid gut I have built up over the winter.

Also I plan on using my Merrel's. I don't remember what model they are but they are very light and should work out well!

I just got back and that felt Grreeeaaat!! My cardio isnt all that bad, I guess all that full court basketball over the winter helped out.

But it just feels so nice to get outside and run along the river. Haha it was funny to see how many beer bottles there were now that most of the snow has melted.

I have been on the tread mill all winter too...gay. I try to run 2-3 times a week 4-5 miles. I have nike air max super duper mega something or others. I dunno I weigh 230 so I destroy shoes.

When I ran in high school my sophmore year I was required to run 7 miles a day 6 days of the week. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wow.gif.23d729408e9177caa2a0ed6a2ba6588e.gif I had some major shin splints towards the end of the season.

and x2 on you grow to like it. When I first started running I hated it. After awhile you get the "runners high"

I run everyday at crew practice about 2-3 miles so its not bad but sometimes we're on concrete and asphalt and sometimes we're on a trail. I wear saucony omni's that a local running shop helped fit to my fit. I used to have foot and ankle problems and now they're all gone.

I don't think I'll ever run enough to get a "running high"
