The rest of it I neither know or care about...but saywhat?, are you of the opinion that an '06 Z06 can't get in the Nines??? Certainly stock or even with a 150 shot of spray (if that's the only mod done to it) it isn't gonna run anywhere near that hard. But I have no doubts 9s can be made to happen with the right upgrades.

the internals of a z06 can prolly hold ~1800 horses stock. with a 7 grand supercharger, an 18 pound boost pulley, and a shit load of nitrous i dont doubt it. dont forget some fat *** UGLY slicks, and RETARDED lookin skinnys............and a full custom rear suspension . its hardly worth throwin ~15 g's to run a nine.

Why would you even want to put an audio system in a 9sec dragster anyway? If anything, you should start stripping excessive weight...

I'm not making the Vette a stripped down dragster , just a real fast street car. I want to enjoy good sound in my fast street car .... Is this too much to ask for ?

I simply shared my experience of just finding out my favorite amps are not going to fit HOW I WANTED THEM TO.

I never mentioned why , until enough people were trying to convince me otherwise , without knowing theirselves exactly what plans I had for the trunk. Thus I brought up the subject of a nitrous bottle having to fit back there ... I didn't ask anyone if this was a good idea in their opinion ...

I never asked anyone if they thought I should modify my new car either , so why did anyone feel the need to get off subject in the first place ?

Maybe you have noticed , but I'm having fun with this , and I'm not going to be ran off by some flaming immature post , or by some bully sticking his nose in my threads ( just ask Bri487 ) .....

So if you're posting in the spirit of the thread and adding something good to it , that's cool as hell .... but if you're just stirring up crap , that's ok too , but expect to get it right back with a laugh and a smartazz reply ....

I have already purchased my new amps , and am waiting on them to arrive.

They are an Arc Audio 4150XXK and 2500XXK , and also a Audison VRX 2.400 and VRX 1.500 .....

One pair will go in the SRT , and the other in the Vette , I just don't know which will go where yet. I'll keep you posted when I've decided ....

I guess I've always looked at vettes as a cruiser and a looker, NOT a racer. It is after all a passenger vehicle regardless of what it is capable of. That being said, cruising around is one of its intended purposes. If I were to purchase a vehicle of this calibur and spent that much money on it I surely wouldn't be driving it at a track but thats just me. Does that mean I shouldn't buy it......hell no.
