Ok my directed 1100D amp jus came in today. so I hooked it up to my old subs im getting rid of soon. and I wired it for 2 ohms. and started listening to it and was very dissapointed... They werent hitting like my old amp made the subs hit like. and The amp was getting way to hot! I decided to take each sub wire and wire it using the spare terminal for the wires. since there are 2 + and 2 - terminals on the amp. I did this and set the gain kinda low. and the subs loved this and really started moving! The amp says it does 800 watt @2ohm and 400@2ohm. why were they barely moving when i put them into a 2 ohm load. and started movine when i wired each to two 4 ohm loads? I'm very confused. oh ya... My 4 gauge power and ground cables are on there way but right now im still using the 8 gauge. could that be a problem also? Thanks guys for taking the time to help

New update on the amp. I was trying to figure out what was wrong with it. and I noticed a high pitched noise coming from both subs. That never happend with the old amp. Then I turned up the volume a little more to see how loud it would get and it goes into protection mode! I think im jus gonna call Ikesound.
