Alright so got my new voltage meter the other day and installed it today. I usual run at 14.6 volts at idle but after I installed the meter and started my truck up i'm at 13.2 volts idle.. Rev'd it up took it around the block.. nothing.. So disconnected the meter and started it up... Still didn't change back... 13.2 idle... WTF could the problem be? Everythings back to the same way it was this morning when I was at 14.6.. Whats you guys think???

Well, all you did was hook up that tiny volt meter, correct?

It doesnt draw enough power to matter. At all.

It is a simple power and ground, that's it, if it's one of Team H&K's

Are you 100% sure you sat at a steady 14.6 constantly? Try charging the batteries for a few, see if that fixes it. No reason whatsoever that should have made even a .1 volt drop.

I've heard that some of those indash volt meters need to be calibrated. If so, there should be a screw on the back that adjusts it, just match the voltage to the voltage shown on your dmm.

Ya im sure 14.6-14.7 every day all day.. I got a stock volt nidle thing on dash and i got a digital anl fuse holder ran off back battery to amp... Since i hate my stock dash crap and I can't see my back meter, I just installed one from Team H&K.. Worke great til I started.. Well still worked great just at 13.2... somethings fishy here lol off to try to figure it out...

So you've beaten on the subs for a few minutes, left it bumpin walked to the back and checked your rear digi gage, and it said 14.6?

As said, stock gauge isnt worth a shit lol

Make sure you're doing a real time comparison as in you've been beatin on it just as hard, as long, and compare voltages.

There is NO reason that it should be doing this. Where did you hook up the new volt meter at?

Ok drop the stock voltage blah blah cuz I don't use it like i said.. I got a anl digital voltage meter in the back i get my readings from... Now I just went out there started it up w/o the new meter hooked up... Blam back to normal actually at 14.9 cuz it was cold.. Left it runnin for like 5mins and it settled down to 14.6... Shut it off hooked up new volt meter idles at 14.4 so atleast its not 13.2... Just let it sit over night and it was back.. But now my new voltage meter says 14volts when my back meter says 14.4... So the meter dropped the back .2 and its off by .4

The meter is in the center console area ran to the back battery... About 5-6ft of wire.. Ran 1 for pos and 1 for neg...

if it is a stinger volt meter needs to be adjusted

what kinda meter

Been driving around bassin it and sh*t now im back to 14.6 14.7 but my meter is reading 14-14.2 Its off by quite a bit... So I think my whole problem was my back bat was lower than my front bat last night after the keys being in it and doors open/lights on for that hour or whatever i ran all my wires and just needed to settle down and even out over night.. So my voltage is fixed.. Back to normal.. Now what can i do with this meter.. Its WAY off..

Mabie I just used remote wire from a amp kit.. Figured big enough to give an amp 12volt turn on it can run a tiny volt meter.. I donno kinda gay...
