Weird T/S Parameters

except for the 13mm xmax, that's sorta lame unless it's an 18. Anything smaller and I usually want at least 20mm of xmax if I'm not going to get any extra gain due to a port. At least if we are talking actual subbass duty.

I've measured the 1508 and 2515 and both had a Qts in the 0.70-0.80 range after extensive break-in periods. Must be a design goal for DD in the lower lines to create that "boomy" response.

It is only a 15. So basically this sub....

A: Thinks it is an 18 with low xmax.

B: Likes massive sealed enclosures the size of a trunk or ported boxes tuned 35-45.

C: Has T/S Parameters of a bass reinforcement driver.

cant' lie about that, DD subs have the look of an SPL woofer down pat. Very strong and loud looking.

well dipoles aren't a great way to get alot of bass. Below the wavelength of the baffle board, you get cancellation so your bass drops off at 18db/octave vs 12 if you used an enclosure. IB, where you actually seperate the waves, but don't use a box is pretty common in cars.
