not sure if this is the right place to post this but here it goes....
i have two 12" rockford T0s in a ported box
rockford punch 1000.1bd amp
subs are dual 4s wired to 1 ohm
heres the issue, when the subs are in the trunk if the volume is too high they bottom out even with gain at 1/4, boost at 1/2, freq at 40hz, and on the radio subwoofer about 10 outta 15 boost -9
i put them in my backseat with all the windows down same settings.....they dont bottom out with the volume up and sound twice as loud
the box they are in really isnt that big its actually a nice looking box...i know its not bigger then 3.5cu ft total and the subs recommend from rockford is 1.65cu ft each
also when i had them in the trunk with the lid open they pounded without bottoming out, soon as i shut the lid they started doing it, i know its not the car rattleing cuz when it happens....the bass drops and when i turn the volume down one or two bass comes back and rattle stops
sorry for long post any help is great
