Weird sub enclosure?

I was given 2 12w1v2 subs and they're enlclosed in the weirdest way ... They're completely enclosed so you can't even see the subs , they're nothing facing each other and there's a little whole in the top where the sounds comes out of? Is this sound good or what?

Post a pic ...could be a 4th or 6th order box ....do some research on them and u should be able.to figure it out

It looks kind of like this but has carpet 6th Order bandpass build - Speakerplans.com Forums - Page 1 and it only has one hole on entire thing not all those holes on the side

Can't say if its good or bad without knowing the exact specs or what the actual response is. For a pair of 12s the opening does look a bit small, but I can't tell without dimensions.

In general I think a simple vented enclosure yields better performance over a wider bandwidth than does a 4th order. A 4th order CAN get louder/is more efficient in a smaller bandwidth though.

So if I have 2 Jl 12w1v2 4 ohm subs with this amp Rockford Fosgate P3001 (05-p3001) 900W Max, Monoblock Amplifier will it sound good?

Hook it up and find out. "Sounding good" is an opinion... and they mean the specs of the box. You're clearly completely new to the car audio scene, which is fine but your not going to be knowledgable enough to give us the info we need. Plus, to get the info we need, you'd have to take the box apart.

So, just hook it up and see what you think. That's your only real option.

Do you have a tape measure? If so, measure it by width, height, and depth. A size of the port on top would be a good idea as well... Then people might be able to tell you what you're looking at.
