weird stolen sidekick question

I have a friend who is a bit shady. we all have that friend and i am currently in the need of a new phone because mine broke. well my friend was trying to call me and because of my lack of a phone i couldn't be reached. he is offers to sell me a sidekick. i want to take him up on the offer because i hate not having a phone but i know that he has to be stolen because first off where would some one just come up with a side kick and second he is shady so i wouldn't put it past him.

no where he got it, from who he stole is is none of my busyness. I figure that if thats the stuff he likes to do and take chances with thats all him. But if i do get this phone from him can it be tracked to me. is there any way i can get in trouble for having it. I would rather not deal with police over this. its not worth it to me.

but isent there some weird thing how the post owner can look at my pics and my aim and all my texts if he logs into his account then track me down? im trying to find verification of this is true.

Uh no, he can only check texts/pics from the phone his number is on which is whatever phone he has now, trust me I used to work for tmobile lol people would get jacked all the time and come complain but theres no way of tracking the phone, Your safe man dont worry. Because if what you said was true than thats invadin privacy that would mean all the people who sell phones on ebay or used phones could still look at your pics, you think people would buy used phones if that was true? lol

Well, if its stolen.. the person ussally reports there phone and you can't activate the phone because its listed as stolen.. but sense it all works with SIM cards not sure how it works. i just got with T-mobile about 3 days ago.. got the Sidekick LX.. Love it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

No tmobile cant de-activate phones, Only services like Verizon can since your phone is activatd through your IMEI number, Tmobile can only deactive the SIM card so if your phone was stolen with SIM card in all they can do is de-activate sim card so they cant charge your account but cant do nothing bout the phone..

The Sidekicks are wierd when they stolen. U will have to keep the email that is registered on it, cant change it without verification from the OWNER.
Also not true rev:) the phones can be reset easily lol..You could actually call T-mobile and say you bought the phone off ebay and you want to reset it and they wil do it for you lol..

hmmm, i know ive only had it for acouple days, but so far.. the web.. the calls and everything seem to be awesome. Flexpay plan.. ill always know how much my bill will be. i love it so far.

bro if its a sim card your good dont worry. do a master reset on the phone and just do what u gota do bro. u will have to go to lets t-mobile take there bs free phone and your good to go. done deal.... i was kinda messin around back in the day with some shit trust me your fine.
