okay well my FI CAR AUDIO 12in. BL finally came in today so i went down to a shop to get it installed.. i've got 1000 watts going to the sub in a ported box.. anyway, after the shop was done installing my sub i tested it out and it was decently loud but i knew it could get louder.. so i started playing with it some more at home and i noticed that when i took out one of the rca plugs, it got WAYYYYYYY louder and produced a lot more bass.. i was wondering why is this so?? is it because i only have one sub hooked up? BTW i left one rca wire out since its so much louder.. this thing pounds in my car. any input?

What head unit are you running off of? What amp are you using? Is it a specific channel, example if you took out the right the left gets louder but when you take out the left it is the same? Was it a local shop or best buy?

Need more details before any conclusion can be drawn.
