weird noise with high frequency

i have a lvl 4 12'' in a 2^3 (after displacement) box @ 33hz hooked up to an audiopipe ap15001d. it kills on the lows but when high frequency hits the subwoofer makes a sound similar to rattling. does anyone know what's going on?

Are you sending it a clipped signal? Did this just start happening, or has it been going on for a while, getting progressively worse? Back the gain off a bit and see if that helps.

Also, check to make sure you have a good seal between your sub and box.
