Weird Noise Just Started...

Ok so I've had an AVIC-D3 installed since March this year. I did the install myself. It's been working flawlessly until the past weekend.

My best friend and I took a short trip to OKC and were using my GPS to find On The Border. Well, while it was searching for OTB's, we were listening to the radio. After we turned off the GPS, and put back in my DVD-R, a buzzing noise was emitting from the rear left speaker. Now it's always there. This only happened AFTER we turned off the radio and GPS and put back in the music DVDR.

any ideas?

does the problem only happen after you switch modes in the way you described, or does it never go away and just started after you did that?

So it's only from one speaker? Sounds like the speaker just went bad. Take the right rear speaker and hook it up in the place of the messed up one and see if you still hear the noises.

well all my shat is back home and I won't be there until the weekend before Halloween. If I get a minute I will atleast just go look and check it out to see if the coils burnt/shot.

Yep agreed sounds like speaker.
