Is this speaker design an option? Also need some help with box dimensions and tuning

Will the way this port is facing work ? Also what is the optimum size for the Type X in a ported enclosure? Port with and length tuned to ??.....Thanks guys!

yes thats fine. as long as you have the right dimensions of the box recommended for the subwoofer. thats how my box is for my L7. sub front, port to the side
