Weird Noise From Subs?

Hey guys I am getting a slight buzzing/drone sound from my subs... I have had them in for about half a year now and they have been just fine so far until two nights ago when they started droning a little but I got home and tighted the +/- to the sub down and it quit... It started again today however and I tried messing with all the wires and the settings on my amp and nothin? you can only hear it when the volume is off pretty much and it only gets louder with my RPM's... Any ideas here guys? I need this fixed cuz they are getting takin out tommorow so nothin happenes to them after this guy make his first payment and I want them running how they should...

alternator whine. double check all your grounds. have you done the big 3?

Ill see if I can screw with it right quick and let you know if it fixes it... we are talkin the ground to the amo correct?

its all tight and havent had a problem with it before.... any thing else? they also thump when I click my window controls too

if you are running any large amount of power, you can wear out the factory grounds. the battery connectoins can just corrode, too. unplug the rca's and i'm sure it will dissapear. check the engine ground strap, cab ground, battery connections, head unit grounding. another thing that could happen, is a problem with the rca's and/or rca connections in the amp itself. wiggle the rca's while it's doing it (the connectors, not the wires) and see if it makes noise, or changes/eliminates the whine. if the amp is being sold, and that is the problem, you should take it in and have the rca jacks re-soldered on the board....you did check the amp ground at the body, too, right? not just tightness, but corrosion/contact to metal..
