Weird noise from 12" BM

I am getting a weird noise from my 12" BM, it sounds like the coil is rubbing or that its bottoming out. It is not on big time bass songs, only on like rock when a kick drum hits hard. I have it in a box I built to try and get it to 2cu ft and 34hz. I am using a Sundown Audio SAE-1000D to power it and have each voice coil hooked up to its own output on the amp. Any help is appreciated.

I will say that the only time that you ever hear the noise is when you are right by the driver, you can't hear it while driving, but I just want to have a correctly working driver and make sure I won't damage

After doing some troubleshooting I'm 99% sure its the coil rubbing the

motor. It makes the same noise if you gently tap on the driver at a slight

angle while it is off as it makes when I hear what I am. I also

accidentally bumped the surround while listening to it for the noise and

it made the noise really loudly. If you push on the driver even slightly

off of absolutely you can feel the coil rub. I don't know what can be done

about this though.

Contact SI and tell them and see what they can do.

You may have to much power for 1 BM with 1k watts.

I may be wrong tho!

i had a similar problem with my mag, it would make a loud screeching noise every once in a while and when i pressed in slightly. i just fought through it and the sub loosened up or whatever and stopped doing it after the first 2 or 3 days..

Be sure that I am not trying to be a jerk here, I just wondered if any owners had maybe had this happen and could have told me what to do. I already applaud your customer service, its great and I know the issue will be resolved. Now, I do request that this thread be closed.
