Weird amp problem. wiring? HELP please

I finally got a new JL 12w6. Everything is wired up correctly and im getting proper voltage at power, ground, and remote wire. When i start the car or just turn on the car they amp shows it has power, but there will be now sound coming from the sub. I double and triple checked all the wiring. But i noticed if i disconnect the ground and re-connect it, it will work. I have tried two different amps as well so i dont think its the amp. Basically i have to disconnect the ground at the amp and re-connect it everytime i wanna have my sub work. I have no idea what would be causing that problem. Anyone have any ideas or had this problem before?

The system will also work if i remove the power wire from the amp and reconnect it. It does this on both amps i have and i know theyre both good. Fuses are all good as well. If i remove both 20a fuses and plug them back in nothing happens. It will only work if i remove the power or ground and re-connect them. Ive never seen anything like this before and its so confusing

Is your ground connected to a seat or a seat belt bolt? If so move it to a piece of sheet metal where you can scrape the paint clean off and throw some screws through it. Make sure you don't screw into something important though.

Yea, try a different ground location like suggested above.

Sounds to me like a ground issue too but then you threw out the power wire comment. Try running your ground to your battery and see if that fixes your problem.

Can you disconnect and reconnect the remote and have it work?

if i disconnect the remote wire and reconnect it, nothing happens. only works if i do the power or ground

is it going into protect? and does it stop playing when it is working or does it not come back on when the cars shut off?

it doesnt go into protect mode, it shows it has power, it doesnt stop playing once its workng. it will not come back on if i shut the car off. i have to remove the power or ground and reconnect which ever on i unplug

does it still have all the symptoms if the car isnt running with just the key on? What type of amp?

It does even whe the car in on not running and when its on and running. Its a JL 500.1. I tried it with another JL amp and a MTX amp and it did the came thing with all 3 amps.
