weight lifting

Ok so the subject of joint pain came up a couple of post ago. Ive never had "sore" joints after lifting but with every rep my joints hurt especially with shoulder presses and tricep exercises. Its in my right arm and im sure this is from pitching when I was younger (to many curves). Is there any type of product I can take to repair my joints or am I just screwed.

what sources do you all use for protein? according to my size, i should be taking in at least 250 grams of protein a day to bulk. where should i get all of this from? i take a little whey protein in shakes and try and eat meaty sandwhiches on whole wheat, but i still dont think its anywhere near 250 grams.
i usually eat egg beaters for breakfast and i'll probably start with protein shakes now

milk my friend, drink alot of it to get alot of protein, that's what i did and eat alot of dense foods like turkey, and chicken and tuna.

just noticed this thread, and I think it's awesome that there's this many fitness people on the forums. I've been on a gym break for a bit, but i'm going to be getting back into it once i have the money for a membership.

I am one of those high metabolism kids that could eat cheeseburgers and bacon everyday and never gain a pound. So it should be interesting. I started lifiting just under two years ago, and in my first year I didn't take my diet seriously so I just got really toned, then I bulked up for only a little while and put on some pounds. I have pictures of my before and after but it's not that great, I could have put a lot more weight on if I was serious about it. If anybody wants the pictures i'll post em up, I'm big on seeing "success stories/pictures" because it helps me get motivated.

hehe i wasnt hating, are u on creatine because that would explain half of it, ive had some major jumps some days while on creatine.
yessir, somedays you'll wake up and feel alot heavier then see how much you weigh and then you start keepin track of how many calories you eat and then it starts makin sense why you are gettin big gains hint hint creatine while workin out.

Glucosamine chondroitin helps for joint problems.

Yup! Also, I would sugguest going to see a physical therapist and speaking about it and see what they have to say. It's entirely possible that there is a solution out there for you.

How long has it been since you think you may have damaged the joint?

i supplement with curcumin, which is herbal. It is supposed to help protect cells and joints, and it is also rumored that curcumin helps reduce gyno if that is a problem for anyone.

well its been 7yrs now since ive pitched. But about 5yrs ago when I was doing stucco I would wake up and my elbow would be locked up I would fling it forward (like a hammering action) untill it popped then it would work fine. Havent had that problem anymore since I dont have a physically demanding job. But it hurts when lifting. Not terribly bad just annoying.

X2. The problem I was having was working at FedEx Ground as a sorter, sorting 7,000+ packages in a 3 hour period every night, and moving pianos at my other job during the day, and also trying to work out on a regular basis. I had major joint problems. Started taking that stuff and it seemed to help alot. Also calcium helps with bones right?

haha Yeah, I always try and take a before picture for myself just because I can look back on it, and actually see my improvements.
i kept a pair of old pants. so far i have dropped 4 pant sized and can pull my old pants over my new pants and almost up to my arm pits
