Watts and Power

Does anyone know how to figure out how many watts of power u get with a 1- ohm impedance.

For Ex: an amp that produces 500 wattsx1 @ 4-ohms will give 1,000 wattsx1 @ 2-ohms.

So how many watts would this amp give at 1-ohm impedance.

Is there like a formula to find watts according to impedance???

Thanx 4 tha help

The amp is not necessarily 1 0hm stable,it could just put out the most power at 2 ohms.If it is 1 ohm stable then most of the time it is just doubled, but its different per amp. What amp are you talking about???

Thats the thing I don't. I was recommended a mone amp stable at 1-ohms so I didn't kno if by making its impedance 1-ohm would increase the watts even more meaning that I could by a not as powerful amp=less money spent to power my subs.
