Alright, i'll try to get some pics up. By the way, it is a very clean install, wires hidden and everything. I have to disagree with a previous post, i think that it would have been more than $300 or even $400.

definetly, labor is very expensive. I installed a HU for a guy once, he told me BB wanted $300 for it, for running 4 speaker wires, a power wire, and Acc. It took me around 4-5 hours to finish it( was in a BMW :-/)

anyways, dynamatting, running all those wires, building an amp rack. Personally I would expect to pay up around $500 for that.

$45 an hour labor rate... You were overcharged. I doubt he took the full 16hours to work on the car and $45 an hour is kind of extreme...

Even if it was too high of a price, you were able to afford it and if the end result made you happy then don't regret it.

It's not like you skipped a month's rent just to pay for the install right?

You didnt over pay. The guy doesnt work at a Car Audio store, You didnt purchase the equipmet from his store.

You didnt get a deal, You paid top dollar.

If anything ever goes wrong expect top notch service asap.

If I brought that stuff to any good shop in Ontario i'd be lookin to pay $50 an hour and the guy would definately loaft and take his time.. 2 days seems about right.. 16 hours 8 hours a day....about $800 bones...

Local store charges about $70 an hour for custom work. A sealed box is something like $200 from a store.

$700 seems like a bit much, but if it looks professional and you are happy, then that is all that matters.

I think if it sounds good, and you think the guy did a good job then yes it was worth it. That sounds like a pretty fair price "range" though.

Yah its borderline... also none of us have seen the finished work.. for all we kno it could be really bad or more then what we expected..
