well then that would be an even better reason since time is not important.

Once the investigation is resolved, they (police) will let you know who it is\was and if you want to press charges...

It's ironic to ask on a public forum to hack into your email account and obtain information...

What if they steal even more info from you?

If someone stole your credit card #, what makes you think they didn't steal someone else's email account password? If they have you CC#, they have your billing address too.

Best to let Discover card handle this and get your money back before you do something stupid and start contacting people. This is Discover's problem, not yours.

Haha, ****** police wont do jack **** with something like this. Find who's accessing a pop account via most likely a proxy? Yea right

NSA and FBI maybe, but this isn't a federal case such as terrorism or IRS fraud. Local police will either laugh or pretend to care

I've dealt with stuff like this before..

What i did was go directly to the Detective's office in person. They started checkin stuff right there on the spot..

Didn't find anything in the first 5 minutes of interest.. Within 2 weeks, they solved it...

So, maybe i confuse police with detectives.. same to me in my area anyways.

Happened to me. Someone took all my bank funds, which at the time were around 400 dollars and somehow managed to overdraft 1400 via western union. Filed a police report and a report with my bank, bank refunded me the money in about a week and that was it. Still convinced it was when I used the atm at a store to check my bank funds.
