i was wondering if there is a company that offers extended warrenty plans to head units or other stereo equipment? I've seen some companys online that offer a protection plan if something is stolen or damaged etc on electronics but i cant seem to find that place again. Can anyone help and point me in the right direction

I'm looking to get a HU but the place that im getting it from is not a Authorized dealer thanks

Car Insurance brother, all you need to know. You inform your insurance that you've got it(i think you have to on purchases worth over 1 grand or sumin) ... and if it gets stolen it will be covered

w00t w00t

I think so - call your insurance company tomorrow and ask - I have full insurance and I know I'm covered...

It should be covered on full because Liability doesnt have...well it doesn't cover much of nothin man lol

Full coverage insurance will only cover equipment installed in factory OEM locations (obviously, HU is covered here). But amps/subwoofers/speakers not installed in factory locations/etc are not covered. You need to purchase separate insurance for these items.

Though, as mentioned, call your insurance agent to let them know you have an aftermarket HU. If you have full coverage insurance on your vehicle, it will be covered

Thank God someone knew the whole deal :)

Aint nobody messin with my stuff, assured :)

The Box is bolted down, the amps are under the seats(unaccessible to get out without taking out the seats) and bolted down...

They can have the HU, I'm kind of considering getting an Alpine lol

Although I must say, I love my 8600 Pioneer very much :p

State Farm will cover it if its INSTALLED at all........

Doesnt have to be OEM locations. My mother in law is my agent, I made very sure on this......

Just an FYI.

I was wondering too...

My uncles an Insurance Agent(used to work for State Farm, has his own company now...) and he said I'd have to pay like 5 bucks more a month but it'd all be covered

Still dont want your stuff stolen

so i guess nobody knows that web site that offers extended warrentys or cover if your stuff os stolen or damaged. I know its not through your insurance company. Its like this web based company that does it , can anyone tell me thanks
