Another polyfill question

If i added polyfill to my 1.22 cu ft sealed box, would i make my SL-p sound louder?

I understand that it would make the box seem bigger by slowing down the sound wave but does that make it louder, does it decrease the SQ?

Louder- no

Deeper- possibly

Remember that it needs to be loosely stuffed in, if its jammed tight it wont work.

In my older setup my subs got a little deeper but not louder.

I wouldn't expect them to...polyfill simply makes the sub act like it's in a larger enclosure, with all the benefits and drawbacks a larger sealed enclosure brings with it. Lower power handling, deeper/flatter frequency response, lower overall SPL...

Would it lower powerhandling? I thought a larger sealed box only lowered powerhandling because of less "springyness" of the air inside pushing back against the cone, making it easier for the sub to move (more efficient). But would polyfill change this characteristic? Its not like some polyester fibers in a box can change its air compression characteristics, or can it?
