Warning about using CashApp, seriously

I was looking for payment processors do transactions. I had people recommend CashApp, to absolutely no fault of their own. I did one transaction on there. I thought I was verified completely, I did everything they asked. So I try to do another transaction, and it would not go through. They said I wasn't verified to do transactions. So I wound up contacting their customer support. The customer support dodged my questions about how I was able to send a payment in the first place if I hadn't been verified. You know what that means? That means if I was a scammer, I could've done anything I wanted in that first transaction. So I'm posting this warning out to you guys, just as a heads up. I honestly don't understand how companies like this are allowed to operate. My spidey senses tell me that maybe there's more going on with CashApp that may be worse than just a badly designed service. At minimum, CashApp really does not seem secure. I'm also counting my lucky stars that this literally happened on my first and second transactions.

Here's a link to CashApp's 1.2/5 star rating on trust reviews. Just wait until you read some of these:

Paypal and Paypal only when doing transactions like that. Not shocked about Cash App though I had hear some shady things similar to what you posted Buck.

I've had issues with paypal, and they want paperwork from me that's literally impossible for me to provide because I don't own a home. I would have to literally either buy a home or put bills in my name that I don't pay. They locked my account out of the blue after not using it for a while, won't tell me why, and won't help me get it back open. I used paypal for 12 years. And then bam! No more. I don't think you should be able to do any kind of legal agreement over the web. It should have to be done in person. The closest paypal store to me is in Philly. And I live in FL. So these giant companies like paypal and all these other payment processors have almost no accountability for their actions, because the closest you can get to them is with a phone call.

I just logged back into paypal and now my requirements are different. Like I hate these people. It's a giant-dick-in-your-face corporation. You know they are because they hire the dumbest, shallowest customer service reps that just read from a script and don't seem to actually understand anything.

Oh I agree Paypal's customer service sucks the you know what. Now are they 100% foolproof? Hell no! But at least safer then other options. I didn't own my own home till 2009 and they never requested that of me when selling stuff. But I wasn't doing probably the amount of business you were in the past.

I really didn't do that much. And that's not even the issue they have.

CashApp wants more information to close my account. Ha. Yeah, why would I give them more info?

The reason why paypal is the industry leader for stuff like that is because it's seller beware, which puts people in a position where they're willing to trust no-name sites with a transaction. Every time I'm about to make a purchase on Amazon I do a quick search and buy it from a lesser known website instead that uses paypal. I haven't been screwed yet.

The whole reason the CashApp thing happened was because of PP limiting my account.

Can't argue with that bit of it though. Paypal refused to take my closed bank account off their auto-pay list because of an API bug and dealing with customer service was a nightmare. Instead of just doing it for me they insisted I go through the broken API because they have no power to actually do anything like a bank would be able to. I escalated twice in order to get to someone with part-time teller level access to my account.

I swear guys, I think this world is f'd. There's a parasite hanging around every corner trying to feed off you and what you do. You're soon gonna need a license to be qualified to wipe your own *** and get taxed every time you fart.

No matter what I did online I could not remove an old account (5+ years closed). I guess I got lucky when I finally called and got someone on the phone and they removed it very easily. I asked why I couldn't do it and I don't recall the answer, but it was something stupid on their end.

You know Paypal's CEO makes like $35 million a year? I wonder how their staff feels about that, considering how poorly they treat people, and then the employees have to deal with it. I wish they'd spend some of their 24+ billion NET income on hiring competent people and fixing their site.
