i have very little knowledge on car audio, but i love to bump. i used to have 2 12 jlw3's and an orian hcca 250g4 amp and it hit hard as hell. i then swithed to 2 infinity perfect 12's in a ported box as opposed to the sealed jl's. i didnt realize how much of a different soundi would get out of the ported box. i recently got got jacked and now i need a new system. i still got my amp but i am thinking of just getting rid of it and starting new. i know i want something that is going to shake the sidewalk with deep bass. and by the way my car is a camry and the seats fold down. please help me out with some knowlegde. and money really dosent matter. i got like 2k to spend.

I would say that you can do great for around $1000. I dunno why you would use kappa perfects for spl. While I've never heard these subs, but the consensus on this board is that the RE XXX 15" would be a great choice in a big box. Combined with a HiFonics 1500D, you should be able to "make the pavement crack"

i have never heard of RE XXX. are their 12's any good? i wanted to use 2 12's in my system. i was thinking of jl w6v2's. and would you recommend the hifonics amp for any speakers to "make the pavement crack". any idea on price? and i thank you for the reply.

Hifonics amps are pretty cheap on ebay, were most peopel get them. They are good for any speaker i would think. The RE XXX 12 cost around 369 + shipping ,plus around 250 each for 2 Hifonics 1500d amps to power each sub.You wont be cracking the pavment youll be cracking house foundations.

I believe 1 15" in a large box would be better than 2 12's. Less strain on your electrical system, less work, less money, etc etc.

JL's are good, but more expensive and not as good. All of this is talking out my *** since I've never heard a XXX, but due to the NUMEROUS opinions on this board I am comfortable saying it.

You will definately need upgrades in your electrical system if you choose to go with 2 1500D's, plus an amp for your comps. The 2 12" will be louder in the correct enclosure, but you don't have a ton of room, and it wont be much louder.

The JL W7 has more sq than the XXX but not more SPL.I would say they are matched in SQ or very near so.If it was my choice I would gow ith the single 12" or the single 15",they both will get very loud and sound good doing it.

i really appreciate all the advice. let me then say that the price really dosent matter because i have to spend a certain amount or my insurance company gets the money. this is why i figure i can afford jl's. i looked at a setup of two 13w6v2's and a jl 1ooo watt amp. i know everyone thinks jl is a waste of money but if you got money to waste why not? but if anyone has heard this setup please let me know what you think?
