Need advice on a good replacement for my 2 12"vr comp's for under $400 for a pair

I am new to this forum and i was looking for some good advice on getting some new 12's around the 1000watt range for the pair and under $400 for a pair. but i also want the best sound quality i can get for the buck. right now i have a pair of kicker vr comp 12's which sound good but have had the for over 2 years now and they are starting to show their age. i have already had to solder the voice coil wires to the the terminals twice. so i think it is time to let go. i have a 2.0 cube box with the square port in center powered by a us acoustic 1250rms x1 amp at 1ohm. my gains are set at les than half so i figure i would upgrade and get a speaker that can use everything this amp can put out. but i don't care about being the loudest on the block. i want it to hit hard but sound clean and i want the bass to hit the basement lows. i am not trying to change boxes or amps cause i love my set up i just don't know how long the solder will hold on them kickers this time. its time for new subs.

thanx

Seems to be your answer for everything, lol

well can u suggest anything else that will match or beat his comp vr's thatll be under 400? now unless he wants to go like a single sub setup but then theres different possibilitys, but i believe he said a pair of subs

the only other suggestion would be ED O's. But those will probly be a bit over 400 bucks. and u wouldnt be able to port them but u said u wanted best SQ for the bucks so im guessing u want sealed.

Se's will do the job either wway though, nothing but great subs. U ccould also go for a 12" XXX...

yeah i am looking for good sq but keeping in mind that i already have a dual ported box that has the square port. i also have a tight budget and i need two subs. I am a little new to the group and i don't understand what re, se, & eb stand for. i want my new sub to hit harder than the vr comps but sound good at the same time

ok the RE=resonant engineering ED=elemental designs

respl.com edesignaudio.com

the SE is an RE series they got the se, hc, xxx, and the Mt

over at elemental they got the kx, the k's, the o's, the a's and the Q's

thanx for the suggestion are he any other options cuase i went to the web site and and most of them are for sealed boxes. I have a ported box. the one that was for a vented box is out of my price range cause i need two subs.

I was thinking of trying some cerwin vega-Vega 124 12" subs. does any one know how good these subs are cause i was reading the specs and they are made for a vented box it even had specs for the box i have with the square port.

please give ya'lls input. the sub are $84 each. is this a good buy, i mean the price sounds good to me.
