Wanting new daily driver

I'm looking in getting a one sub system as a daily driver in my 09 Pontiac G6. I'm shopping around trying to figure out the best route to approach this and the best option on my wallet as well. I am looking for a 15" sub roughly 1000 RMS. The 2 subs i have had in mind are Memphis and DC Audio. My biggest issue reliability, i want to be able to start my car and go and not worry about anything. I listen to primarily loud bass rap and hip hop. Its been awhile since Ive been on here so im probably leaving a lot of stuff out but any help or input would be greatly appreciated. Looking to spend around $1000.

Def don't do DC audio subs. Great amps but not great sq subs.

when you say 1000$. What do you mean? Just from the sub or what? You didn't really.clarify

I wanted to get everything except for the HU for the most part on that budget. I would like a head unit in the very near future but right now just shopping around for sub,box,amp,wiring. My local car audio shop sells a lot of Memphis audio. I like Memphis and all that but didn't want to get overcharged or anything. I just really wanted to see if there was anything else out there that has a bigger bang for your buck without giving up reliability and SQ.
