and from personal experiance these things dont do rated power. i had one and it took abouit 2500 but it was close to going out on that power...

lmao. This is how companies get bad names. Its a 4000watt MAX sub. and you want to put almost the max to it. Its not the greatest sub. but its not all that bad as ppl will say. I have one. Did run it on a gp3000d at 1 ohm. Didnt like it to well. I still run just fine with less watts. But come on commen sense ppl(I know thats hard to say in this time of life ppl just have any at all) But buy a mono amp run it at 1ohm say 2000 watts is all you need.

Ma Audio is a great company in good hands. I poor company in the wrong hands. Same for other companies as well.

right now i do have it at 1ohm but my amp goes into protect mode when i have to bass all the way up to tell you the truth im new to this so i dont kno much lol but i have a boss ol4kd and the max at 1ohm is 4000 and when i have it wired for 4 ohm the rms is 1550 and it doesnt sound all that loud. i just need help

what size box did you have your ma in because my friend gave me a box untill i get my own but the box is just big enough for the sub and it will sound way better with a bigger box that has a port in it right?

Here we go another ma audio hater lol. I go back to my last statment in this thread.

OP I have ran ma audio equipment over many many of years. Still have some of the synergy series subs running too Few of the HC line of amps. Ran and still run Many of their amps, subs, speakers, line drivers, even screens. No problems.

You can look up the specs on line on their website. I dought that boss is putting out over 500 watts at any ohm load. I have mine running off a kicker 400.1 does just fine for me. Hits a 137 on the TL lol music too. Was running a show bored when I first got there. I will have to take of few measurments on the box size. Not sure how big it is. Simple crx style box ; sub up, ports facing out the side.
