want to run a 2nd battery in the back

exactly!!!!!
just run 1 positive with a fuse at each end and ground the rear battery in the rear to the best ground you can find such as the frame or a shock/strut tower.
Either way you do it will work. But for power hungry system...

^^This^^

Works the best.

how exactly is that the best? there is a lot more potential problems from having multiple grounds vs a single grounding point. not every weld or seam in a car is perfect. using a single ground cable from the front battery to the back would be a more secure connection and be less prone to problems.

So having one ground point for multiple batts and amps is more effient that having multiple grounds!? (Assuming grounds are good)

GTFO! Dumbass

how would having multiple grounds be more efficient? that being said show me where i even brought up efficiency into this discussion. i said having multiple grounding points across the car opens up the potential for more problems.

dumbass. i bet each of your 5 batteries (in a system that doesn't even exist yet) has it's own ground, right?

so your join date out trumps my 20+ years as a shop owner sales rep distributor award winning installer ect ect ect?
like i said stfu noob
And yet you still have no clue when it comes to a proper install. cause im sure 75% of people on this site know the front battery is the best ground you can have along with a ground in the back . Not to mention that balance in a install (2wires on the pos and 2 on the neg) looks 100 times better then one that don't .

So you're saying that multiple batts and amps wired in series is more efficient that having multiple grounds on the same part of the chassis/frame!?!? Just totally disregarding all the resistance that would cause through 1 ground point and 1 1/0ga wire!?

My mistake, let me bow down to the all mighty know-it-all nineball. Just totally disregarding physics.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/bowdown.gif.b85b23b82970bd22fb6b549c3392f016.gif:bowdown://content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/bowdown.gif.b85b23b82970bd22fb6b549c3392f016.gif

BTW, you goddamn right all my batts and amps have their own ground point, and they are on the same part of the chassis/frame. At least I have a big system in work, I have the money to do it...unlike your broke ***.

thats why you ground to the chassis/frame/shock or strut tower

more wire is more resistance proven and fact. if you are wooried about a good ground use a bigger guage wire

this is where i get off this train. you have shown your intelligence level, or lack of as the case may be. i find it amazing that you can tell me how much money i have or don't have, but obviously you don't have enough to complete a project so it is a sore spot for you. i am quite comfortable in my life, and all my cars have complete systems. good luck in school tomorrow!

Lol glad all the bitches left! All I have is the subs to buy and I'm waiting for the paypal transfer to come through. Lol they dont have school in Afghanistan but I do take some online college classes!

Now GTFO!

nothing wrong with running a ground from the front if you have the extra money it never hurts but having it as an only ground is something only a " moron " would do which is what 9ball said to do, and that is incorrect. he said have all 1 common ground for all batts and amps all from the front. wrong wrong wrong
