Want to build box for two 12 CVRs - Any help?

I want to get the max out of these CVRs, i know they arent great but i want to build a box to get the most i can out of them. Right now they are only run off a punch 250.2 getting 125 rms to each, which is low power but ill upgrade the amp soon enough. The car is an 82 firebird, f-body. Im thinking ill make it fit in the rear "well" area.

Right now they are in two truck like boxes that would fit in the rear not in the well area just fine. but im pretty sure the box is pretty small for them. Just to mess around i put some PVC pipe in the boxes for ports, it sounds ok and is decent. But think they have more. Yes i know they need more power also. But i want to build the box now and get that out of the way.

So, what size should i go with? Sealed or ported? I listen to rap, and want it to get pretty low.. I think..

Box is 3.9ft^3 @ 37hz

Like the way your boxes look on that site, but i dont really have any money to spend on the system right now. Got other things to come first.

There is no way that box will fit in the rear hatch of my ***** am.. If i had a trunk i would be building that box prolly.

Got another question. Should i do two seperate chambers or is putting the subs in one big chamber together fine? It will be harder to equal the two sides with the way the rear "well" area is shape if im trying to get the max box size.

Im not sure i get what you mean, but i think you mean my wording isnt very good, sorry.

What im saying is, if i am trying to get the maximum cubes out of a box in the rear area of my car, it would be harder to get both sides of the box for each speaker to be equal to each other, as far as cubes. Since both sides wouldnt be the same. Anyways, not that that really matters unless i am trying to get the absolute max cubes out of the space i have.

What would be better, a slot port or some pvc tubing? Haha.. Ive never had a slot port myself but wouldnt mind trying one out.

Shit, i just realized this is actually going to be even harder to build now. The only way to fit the 12s in like this is to make the box bigger on the top and smaller on the bottom due to the bottom of the area only being able to fit like about 10" down there.

This was just a quick, shitty paint pic to show what i am thinking i guess. Til it hit me that the subs are 12s, and the top of this only being 10"... Problem there haha.. But there is much more room up top where they will fit. Just now i have to slant the side of the box facing to the front of the car, which sucks.

And i have two of the rear panels for the back, i dont mind cutting one up if i by any chance need to to fit it in there or something.. That part where it has to slant really threw me off now. I **** at doing this stuff..

But anyways, for you box people can you help me figure out how i should do it? I mean building it about to the specs i posted but bigger on the top.. Would that be a good size or no? And for the size should i port it or sealed? Ill see what i can find for info now..

Actually i just got an idea, this should most likely make it easier to build rather than a slant all the way up from the bottom to top. Sorry i really **** at making sketches, but it should be good enough to get the idea..

Are there any box calculators out there that can calculate my box, with my shape being weird? The best i can find is have a different top and bottom depth which makes a slant all the from top to bottom which i do not want to do...

Ok if i am right, i can just calculate it as two different parts and add it together, its not going to be spot on but it will be close. I did that and it says 1.99 for top part, and 1.1 for bottom. So is about 3 cubes going to be enough? I dont want to go to all the work to build this box and it end up sounding like total shit.

Ok found that google sketch program and messed around with it.. Its just thrown together its not made to specs or whatever. Just to show the shape i i am thinking. What do you guys think? With knowing its prolly only gona be 3 cubes WITHOUT the subs and port in it, it seems like its going to be quite small.. Maybe go sealed?

So, no one has some input? I want to know if building it to those specs will sound decent. And if so, what kind of port im going to want to do with it. I also have no idea what i would want it tuned to. I want it to slam about as hard as these little cvrs can..
