Starting my project on my new car and I got all the carpet torn out of the trunk today to apply the sound deadener from Audio Technix. I was ready to clean the surface with acetone but I have this factory "deadener", which is all over the trunk. It is basically just lines on this stuff on the surfaces.

I feel as though I should remove this factory crap! Especially to make the deadener stick. Any suggestions, tips, comments? Should I scrape it off and if so with what? Thanks //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Run right over that shiz.....clean it like a mofo first though. Get every bit of anything off it. Use acetone or rubbing alcohol or the likes.
Hahaha, alright then! I bought a container of acetone earlier from the depot, should be good to go then!
